What happens at night?

If you are a true rod maker, then you'd know that having a good time is an integral part of bamboo rod making. June happens to be the prime time (and the only time) for the famed Hex Hatch on the AuSable River. We have a lot of "resident fishing gurus" among the rod makers, who can certainly take you night fishing. Local guides are also available. But, I'd first see if I can make some new friends who would take me to that secret spot.

Remember, it's a secret spot because you think that no one else knows about the spot…..

If you are not a hard-nosed midnight fly fisher, then another option would be "Spikes Keg O'Nails" that offers the self-proclaimed "world-famous" Spikes burger. It's located in Downtown Grayling and is a favorite hang out for fly fishers. You are more than likely to run into other fishers and have a drink or two with them. They are open until late, really late.

Check out their web site at www.spikes-grayling.com

But then, you can also opt to go see a feature movie at the local theater – but we are not going to endorse or provide any detail on this lame idea – you are on your own!!!
